My comment was that "some things never change."<BR/><BR/>Your mother is the spitting image of my paternal grandmother's side. I swear she looks like me when I was in my teens! I am from Manchester. After all, that was 1886, quite a while ago! And anyway, I was never given a marriage year by anyone in the family, probably because they didn't know it, any more than they knew birth dates of the first children in the family. My father wasn't born until 1889, by which time Daisy was already dead. The only one of the dead children he might have known would have been Gustave, who died when my father was ten years old.Dorothy Kewhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18159645921852490750noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3797778988120990970.post-63936638484080038162007-11-21T08:33:00.000-05:002007-11-21T08:33:00.000-05:00Fascinating! So do you think you were told that story about Haiti because family members simply got the information wrong, or because certain family members did not want to the truth of their wedding year to come out?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3797778988120990970.post-86240812878693297772007-11-18T22:52:00.000-05:002007-11-18T22:52:00.000-05:00Oh Boy!!!
